6 CUPS (6 MEDIUM) APPLES, PEELED, SLICED COOKING APPLES
1 TBSP. LEMON JUICE
1 TBSP. WATER
¾ CUP FIRMLY PACKED BROWN SUGAR
½ CUP FLOUR
½ CUP ROLLED OATS
1 TSP. CINNAMON
½ CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE

375º 9X9" CAKE PAN

PREHEAT OVEN. PLACE APPLES IN 9” SQUARED. SPRINKLE WITH LEMON JUICE AND WATER. COMBINE BROWN SUGAR, FLOUR, OATS AND CINNAMON. WITH PASTRY CUTTER, CUT IN BUTTER UNTIL CRUMBLY. SPRINKLE OVER APPLES. BAKE 40 TO 50 MINUTES OR UNTIL APPLES ARE TENDER.
