3 ROUNDED TBSP. COCOA
1 CUP SUGAR
1 TSP. SODA
1 TBSP VINEGAR
1 TSP. VANILLA
5 TBSP. OIL
1 CUP WATER

350º 9X9" PAN

NO NEED TO GREASE THE PAN.
SIFT DRY INGREDIENTS DIRECTLY INTO CAKE PAN. ADD LIQUID INGREDIENTS AND STIR UNTIL THOROUGHLY BLENDED. BAKE FOR 30 MINUTES OR UNTIL CAKE SPRINGS BACK WHEN LIGHTLY TOUCHED IN THE CENTER. LET COOL. GREAT PLAIN OR WITH YOUR FAVORITE FROSTING.

As kids, This was our first baking experience. We would make a well for each of the liquid ingredients. One large one for the oil and 2 smaller ones for the vinegar and vanilla; then pour the water over the top. It was fun to watch the vinegar bubble.
