1 lb chicken breasts (not frozen)
½ small onion minced
2 carrots, minced
2 celery stalks, minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon thyme
¼ teaspoon dried sage
¼ teaspoon dried rosemary
1 large or 2 sm bay leaves
2 tablespoons butter
6 cups chicken broth
¾ cups wild rice ( I recommend Lundberg Farms)

* Add all ingredients to 6 quart crock pot
* Cook on low for 4 hours or until chicken is done. Rice should be done about the same time.
* Shred chicken then stir back into soup and serve. (Soup will thicken as it cools.)
