6 c. thinly sliced, peeled apples
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
dash ground nutmeg
1 Tbsp. butter
pastry for a double crust pie

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.
Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the sugar mixture to the sliced apples and toss to coat the apples. Fill a pastry lined 9" pie plate with the apple mixture, then dot with the butter. Add the top crust. Seal and flute the edge. Vent the pie crust and brush with some milk. Cover the edge of the pie with foil. Bake in a 375º oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 20 to 25 minutes more or until crust is golden brown. Cool.
