4 lemons
5 lb sugar
2 quarts water
100 grams (3-1/3 oz) citric acid (drugstore 75 cents)

Directions:
Bring water to a boil. Peel lemons - half and squeeze them. In a large bowl, (6 quart) put peelings, juice, sugar and citric acid. Pour boiling water over & stir until dissolved. Cover and let stand till cool, over night or 6 - 8 hours. Strain & pour into bottles or jar with screw tops. Will keep 6 to 8 months. When ready to serve, use 1 part lemon concentrate to 3 or 4 parts of water to suit taste. Makes about 12 quarts of made up drink.
