5 c flour
2 tsp salt
1 lb lard
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 egg, slightly beaten
water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and salt. Cut in lard until mixture resembles coarse meal. In a measuring cup, combine vinegar and egg. Add water to make 1 cup. Gradually ad to lard/flour mixture, stirring with a fork. Form into a ball, wrap and refrigerate or freeze until ready to use.
Yield; 3 double pie crust 9'' pie shells.

The secret to flaky pie crust is not to overwork dough. The less it is handled the more flaky the crust.
