4 egg whites
½ c. sugar
2 t. vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)


Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Beat egg whites until foamy. Slowly, add the sugar 1 T. at a time, beating after each addition until the meringue stands in stiff peaks. Stir in the vanilla sugar and salt. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop tablespoonfuls of batter 1 " apart on the prepared cookie sheet. Bake@ 325º for 2 minutes, then turn off the oven. Leave the cookies in the oven overnight. Do not open the oven door.
