1 pkg Devil's Food Cake mix
1 egg
1/4 cup water, add more if needed, one teaspoonful at a time
1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Add ingredients to cake mix. Batter should be very thick, so add additional water slowly. After mixing thoroughly, spoon the batter into a greased pan, smoothing it out evenly.

Bake for 20-25 minutes for a chewy brownie, a little longer for a dryer cake type.
