1-3/4 cups flour (1-1/2 cups in notes)
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening or oleo
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
2 T milk
1 tsp vanilla
48 Hershey Kisses

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º

Mix all ingredients except Kisses at low speed until mixture foams. Shape in 1-teaspoon balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Bake 10-12 minutes.

Remove from oven. Immediately firmly press Kiss in cookie. Remove from cookie sheet when cool (2-5 minutes).
