1 cup butter
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ½ cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 ½ cups old fashioned rolled oats
¾ cup chocolate chips – substitute with raisins

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Beat together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar at medium speed until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
In separate bowl mix all of the dry ingredients.
At low speed beat in flour mixture until blended.
Fold in oats and chocolate chips.
Cover with plastic wrap; chill at least 1 hour before baking.
Bake 10 minutes. Transfer to baking racks to cool.
