½ cup brown sugar
½ cup pancake syrup
¼ cup butter
1 egg – slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup currants

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
Bake empty tart shell for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix all ingredients together except the
currants.
Put 1 tsp of currants into each tart shell.
Fill each tart shell with butter tart mixture.
Bake 15 minutes.
Top with butter icing (optional).
