6 eggs
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup margarine or vegetable shortening, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon extract
1 tsp orange extract
1/2 tsp anise oil
1/2 cup milk
6 cups all-purpose flour
6 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º

Beat together eggs and sugar until light. Add margarine. Gradually add flavorings, milk and dry ingredients. Mix with hands on a floured board. Roll in powdered sugar. Shape into 6 2" long loaves. Bake on a greased pizza tray or cookie sheet for 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven, cut into 1/4" thick slices and return to oven to toast until light brown.

(Recipe originally said 2 cups flour; 1 tsp anise oil, pinch of salt. Shape into 3 6" long loaves. No mention of rolling in powdered sugar. Those were all handwritten in.)
