1 # butter
2 C sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp lemon extract
6 C flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt

Frosting:
1 egg white
1 C xxx sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and lemon extract, beat well.

2. Add sifted dry ingredients. Chill dough 4 hours or overnight.

3. Roll out to 1/8 inch and cut.

4. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 5-7 minutes at 425.

5. Prepare frosting by beating egg white and gradually beating in xxx sugar until it holds shape. add lemon juice.

6. Frost cookies when cool.
