(Molded strawberries and avocado make a gala salad.)

2 pkgs (3 oz each) lemon-flavor gelatin
2 cups very hot water
1-1/2 cups cold water
1/4 cup lemon juice (for gelatin)
1 pint strawberries, sliced
1 medium-size avocado, peeled, pitted and diced

Boston lettuce

DRESSING:

1/2 cup cream for whipping
2 T sugar
1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
2 T orange juice
2 T lemon juice (for dressing)

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve gelatin in very hot water in a medium-sized bowl; stir in cold water and lemon juice. Chill in refrigerator just until as thick as unbeaten egg white.

Fold fruits into gelatin; pour into a 6-cup mold. Chill at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Make dressing.

To unmold, loosen at edge with sharp knife; dip very quickly in and out of a pan of hot water; cover with serving plate; turn upside down; lift off mold.

Serve with lettuce; serve dressing separately.

DRESSING

Mix cream and sugar in a small bowl; beat until stiff; blend in mayonnaise or salad dressing, orange juice and lemon juice.
