2/3 cup oleo
1-1/3 cups sugar
2 eggs
2-3/4 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup sour cream
1-1/2 cups mashed bananas
1 cup chopped walnuts

GLACE:

1 cup mashed bananas
1 cup sugar
2 T lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and bananas until well blended.

Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add alternately with sour cream to banana mixture, stirring just to blend. Stir in walnuts. Spoon batter into 9x5x2-3/4" loaf pan, which has been greased and floured on bottom ONLY. Bake 1 hour, 15 minutes. Cool on rack for 20 minutes.

GLACE:

Mix bananas and sugar together in saucepan. Boil over low heat, stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add lemon juice (while still warm push through strainer).
