½ cup shortening
¾ cup peanut butter
⅓ cup sugar
⅓ cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 T. Milk
1 t. vanilla
1½ cup unsifted all-purpose flour
1 t. baking soda
½ t. salt
Granulated sugar
9 oz. pkg. Hershey's Kisses - about 48

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and peanut butter; add sugar, and brown sugar. Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to cream mixture, blending thoroughly.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls; roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; bake at 375º for 10-12 mins.
Remove from oven; immediately place unwrapped Kisses on top of each cookie, pressing down so that the cookie cracks around the edges.
Remove from cookie sheet, cool.
