2½ c. sugar
2 c. butter
2 eggs, well beaten
4 c. flour

To decorate:
egg whites
cinnamon sugar or decorating sugars in a variety of colors

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together.
Add beaten eggs and mix well.
Add flour slowly, working in well.
Cover and let stand overnight, in refrigerator, to chill.
Roll out on a floured board or cloth.
Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters, dipped in flour to prevent sticking.Brush with beaten egg whites.
Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar or desired colored decorating sugars.
Bake at 350º for about 10 minutes.

The secret to these cookies is to roll the dough really thin, but if you do watch them closely so they don't get too brown.
