2 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 Tbls. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
½ tsp nutmeg
1 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs until light. Add sugar gradually, beating well. Blend in oil and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Add to sugar mixture, alternating with milk. Refrigerator dough.

Roll out and cut into doughnut shapes. Fry in 360º oil, turning to brown and watching closely so they don't burn. Drain on papertowel.

It would smell so good in the house after school when mom had been making doughnuts all day. We would put one doughnut on each finger to eat before heading out to do chores!!!
