2 sticks butter
6-6 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar
2 envelopes yeast
2 cups hot water
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Bring one stick of butter to room temperature. Mix 2 1/2 cups flour, salt, sugar, yeast, and butter. Gradually mix water into it, add egg and beat for 2 minutes. Add 3/4 cups flour, beat for 2 more minutes. Stir in 2 1/2 cups of flour, knead for 10 minutes. Put ball in oiled bowl, let rise about 45 minutes. Punch down, flatten, let rise another 15 minutes. Roll dough into bowl, cover pan with towel, let rise about 30 minutes. Bake at 425 for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
