1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
2½ tsp vanilla
1 egg
2⅓ cups all purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Beat together butter and sugar on low speed until light and fluffy. Stir in flour and baking soda.
Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or overnight. Roll dough out ¼" thick on a lightly floured surface and cut out shapes.
Bake on 375ºF for 7-8 minutes or until edges are light brown.
