¾ cup chopped onion
1 Tbsp butter
2 cups uncooked instant rice
½ cup slivered almonds
2 cups chicken broth

Directions:
Directions:
In a sauce pan, sauté onions and almonds in butter until onion is tender and almonds are lightly browned. In a separate pan, add broth and bring to a boil. Stir in rice and onion-almond mixture, cover. Take pan off the heat and let stand 5 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed. Yields: 6 servings.
