2 squares Baker's unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cups half and half
2 cups granulated sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
1. Butter sides of a heavy, two quart sauce pan
2. In the pan melt chocolate in the half and half over low heat.
3. Add sugar and salt and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved and mixture comes to a boil.
4. Add corn syrup and continue cooking until mixture reaches 238 degrees (or a soft ball stage on candy thermometer)
5. Immediately take from heat and add butter and vanilla
6. Beat vigorously until mixture stiffens and becomes dull.
7. Quickly stir in nuts.
8. Spread mixture on a buttered pan
9. Let cool and then cut as desired
