1/4 cup butter
1 cup chopped Spanish onion
1 small apple, peeled and chopped
1/2 tsp. fennel seed (optional)
1/2 lb ground veal
1/2 pound ground pork
2 cups bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1 egg
1 tsp. each of salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion, apple, and fennel seed until onion is translucent. Let cool to room temperature.
Combine all other ingredients.
Cook in casserole dish for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
