Crust:
12 tbsp (1 1/2 sticks) butter
1 1/2 cups flour

Layer 1:
8 oz softened cream cheese
1 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 of 12 oz Cool Whip

Layer 2:
2 small pkg instant vanilla pudding
1 small can pumpkin
1 cup milk

Topping:
1/2 of 12 oz Cool Whip
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice or 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Cut butter and flour with pastry cutter until crumbly. Press into 9x13 pan and bake at 350º for 15 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Mix cream cheese, confectioners sugar, and 1/2 of the Cool Whip. Spread on cooled crust.

Mix pudding, pumpkin, and milk. Spread on top of first layer.

Stir spices into remaining 1/2 of the Cool Whip and spread on top. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
