1 pkg sweet chocolate
1 cup Butter
4 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup boiling water
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoons Baking Soda
2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1 cup Buttermilk
4 egg whites

Coconut Pecan Frosting
1 cup evaporated Milk
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
1/4 lb Margarine or Butter.
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/3 cup Coconut
1cup chopped Pecans


Directions:
Directions:
Melt Chocolate in water. Cool. Cream butter & sugar. Add egg yolks, add Chocolate & vanilla, Mix well. Sift salt, baking soda, flour, add with Milk mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into flour & greased, 3, 8 or 9 inch pans to layer. Bake 350 Degrees 30 to 40 minutes. Cool. Than Frost

Coconut Pecan Frosting
combine Evaporated Milk, sugar, egg yolks, Butter, & vanilla. Cook & stir over medium heat until thick, about 12 minutes. Add Coconut & pecans. Beat until thick but pliable enough to spread on cake
