2 1/2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup white karo syrup
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cook first three ingredients to 278 degrees on a candy thermometer (or until it spins a thread when taking a spoon and dropping from the spoon back into the pan).
2. Beat eggwhites until stiff
3. Pour half of the cooked mixture into the egg whites.
4. Cook rest of the syrup mixture until it forms a hard ball when poured into cold water.
5. Pour mixture into beaten egg mixture and beat until mixture becomes stiff.
6. Drop by teaspoonsful onto wax paper and let set up.
7. Store in air-tight container.
