8 bacon strips
2 lb. round steak
2 cans mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 pint stewed tomatoes
½ cup chopped onions
2 tsp tarragon

Directions:
Directions:
In a large ovenproof skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove, cool, crumble and set aside. Discard all but ¼ cup bacon drippings. Brown steaks on both sides in drippings. Top meat with mushrooms, tomatoes and onions. Sprinkle with tarragon and bacon bits. Bake at 325º for 1¼-1¾ hours. Serve with mashed potatoes or cooked noodles.
