1 cup butter (room temperature)
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1-1/4 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt (1/2 tsp salt is plenty)
1-1/2 cups old fashioned or quick oats uncooked
6 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Cream margarine and sugars until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients, mix well. Stir in oats, chocolate pieces and nuts. Drop rounded tsp of dough onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown at 375º,
