1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla together thoroughly. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Blend dry ingredients gradually into egg mixture. Chill dough for at least 1 hour. Roll dough, cut into shapes, place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 6-8 minutes. Decorate as desired.
