Frosts two 8 or 9" layers or 13x 9 1/2" cake

1/3 cup shortening
3 1/2 cups confectioners sugar (sift if lumpy)
2 T corn syrup
1/4 t salt
1 T grated orange peel
1/4 c orange juice

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, corn syrup, salt, 1 cup sugar and orange peel. Add remaining sugar and orange juice alternately, mixing until smooth and creamy. Add more sugar to thicken or juice to thin frosting, if required, until of spreading consistency.
