1/2 c brown sugar
3 T chili powder
2 T smoked paprika, salt
1 1/2 t onion powder, cayenne powder, black pepper, garlic powder, oregano, red pepper flakes
Pecan wood chips
Apple juice to spray on brisket while on smoker

Wash brisket and pat dry. Rub with seasoning and put in a gallon size baggie or garbage bag. Mix all seasoning and rub on brisket, put in the refrigerator for 2 days. Flipping. Take out the fridge and let it warm up to room temperature while you are preparing your fire. At this time, soak your wood chips in water.
Start the fire in smoker, i seared my brisket on all sides while fire was hot. Putin an aluminum pan. Every 30 minutes i basted it with the apple juice in a sprayer. Smoke 3 hours. At this time, you can either refrigerate or finish in the oven tomorrow. Bake at 200º for 1 1/2 hours per pound. Let it set for 1 minutes before cutting.
