1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 med. ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. In another bowl, combine the eggs, bananas, oil, buttermilk and vanilla; add to flour mixture, stirring until combined. Fold in the nuts and chocolate chips.

Pour into a greased 9 X 5 loaf pan. Bake at 325º for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Yield: 1 loaf
