6 cups all-purpose flour
1½ cups sugar
2 cups cold butter (no substitutes)
1 teaspoon salt

FiLLING:
8 eggs
3 cups sugar
3 cups corn syrup
½ cup butter,melted
3 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 cups chopped pecans

CRUST:
1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
2. Combine flour sugar and salt into a large bowl.
3. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
4. Press into the bottom and up the sides of 2-greased 15-inch x 10-inch x 1-inch baking pans.
5. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until crust edges are beginning to brown and bottom of crust is set.

FILLING:
1. Combine the eggs, sugar, corn syrup, butter, and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix well.
2. Stir in pecans.
3. Pour over crust and return to oven.
4. bake 25-30 minutes longer or until edges are firm and center is almost set.
5. Cool on wire racks.
6. Cut into bars. Refrigerate until serving.
