1 ENVELOPE OF LIPTON ONION SOUP MIX
2 & 1/2 CUPS WATER 4 MEDIUM POTATOES CUT INTO 1" PIECES- ABOUT 2 LBS
4 SLICED CARROTS
2-4 TBLSP FLOUR

IN DUTCH OVEN BROWN ROAST OVER MEDIUM-HIGH HEAT. ADD SOUP MIX AND 2 CUPS WATER. BRING TO BOIL OVER HIGH HEAT. REDUCE HEAT AND SIMMER COVERED, TURNING OCCASIONALLY , 2 HOURS.
ADD VEGETABLES AND COOK 30 MINUTES OR UNTIL TENDER, REMOVE ROAST AND VEGETABLES.
FOR GRAVY BLEND REMAINING 1/2 CUP WATER WITH FLOUR, STIR INTO DUTCH OVEN. BRING TO BOIL OVER HIGH HEAT. REDUCE HEAT AND SIMMER STIRRING CONSTANTLY UNTIL THICK.
