1 young 3-4 pound chicken, cut up
2 Tablespoons salt
2 Tablespoons paprika
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
3 Tablespoons shortening
2 Tablespoons flour
2 cups water
1/2 pint sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
1. Brown onions in shortening until transparent.
2. Add chicken; cover and simmer slowly until broth is partly cooked away.
3. Add paprika, salt, and water.
4, Cook slowly until chicken is tender.
5. Mix flour and sour cream with 1 cup of broth from the chicken; blend well.
6. Pour flour, sour cream, and broth mix back into the pot with the chicken. Cook for 5 minutes,
stirring frequently.

Serve with dumplings, rice, or noodles.
