1 1/2 c sugar
1 c shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
2 3/4 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cream of tartar

Topping
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs, stir and add remaining ingredients. Blend well. Roll into balls about 1 inch and flatten out. Roll in topping mixture. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 400º for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
