1 cup soft butter, works better with butter, richer taste

1 1/2 cup sugar

2 eggs

31/2 cup flour

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt

1 tsp. nutmeg

1/3 cup sour cream

raisins (one to go in centre of each cookie)

Preheat oven to 350; this is what I use as oven heats hot; check your product after 7 minutes and judge from there.

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and mix well.

Sift flour, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. (I do this when I have time)

Add to sugar mixture.

Stir in sour cream.

Mix well. Drop by spoon full onto greased cookie sheets. Place a raisin in centre of each cookie.
Bake 10 minutes until lightly browned.
