1 can. (20 oz.) crushed pineapple with juice, undrained
1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling (depending on amount of fruit in can and/or your taste, you may need 2 cans)
1 c. chopped nuts - pecans or walnuts
1 package yellow cake mix
1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine, cubed

Note: some people like to add 1 c. flaked coconut.

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9"x13" baking pan.

Dump ingredients into greased 9"x13" baking pan in the following order:
1. Pour pineapple, including the juice, and pie filling into baking pan; gently stir with a spoon to mix together.
2. Sprinkle nuts over fruit mixture.
3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the the nuts.
4. Dot cake mix with cubed butter or margarine.
Bake in 350 oven for 50 minutes or until top is lightly browned..

This is like a cobbler. Serve warm or at room temperature. Tastes great served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
