2 qt. apple cider or apple juice
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. whole cloves
1 tsp. whole allspice
3 sticks cinnamon
dash of nutmeg (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, combine cider and sugar.
Put spices in cheesecloth, gauze or metal tea ball; add to cider; cover; slowly bring to a boil; simmer 20 minutes OR put mixture in crock pot and cook on low overnight or on High for 3-4 hours.
Serve hot.

Options:
1. This may be put in a crock pot. Brings wonderful smells to the home during holiday times.
2. Orange slices may be added for a different flavor.
