½ T. of olive oil
1 tsp of Herbes de Provence

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat over to 400º
(I also insert a baking stone in the oven for this recipe)

In a medium size bowl combine bread cubes, oil and herbs. If not using a baking stone, spread contents on a baking sheet and wait for the oven to heat.

Once the oven has heated insert baking sheet into oven and bake until well toasted (~ 10 minutes) If using a baking stone, spread contents on baking stone evenly and bake until well toasted.

Personal Notes:
We love salads and experimenting with this recipe adds to the fun of eating salads. I have used "cereal" bread from the local bakery "Uppercrust", and when I do that I need to adjust the amount of time up to about 15 mins when I bake the croutons. When the nieces who eat white bread are at the house, I will use standard white bread or brioche bread, and when I do this I must adjust the time down. Fresh made croutons really make a difference in a salad or soup!
