3 lbs. Round Steak, boneless, ¾ inch thick
½ cup Flour
1 tsp Salt
Shortening

1-8oz. can Stewed Tomatoes
½ cup Celery, chopped
½ cup Carrots, chopped
¼ cup Onion, chopped
½ tsp. Worchestershire Sauce

½ cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Cut steak into serving size pieces. Mix the flour and salt together and pound the mixture into the steak pieces, reserve the unused flour mixture. Brown the steak in a small amount of shortening in a skillet remove to a shallow baking dish.
Stir the remaining flour into the dripping in the skillet, add the next 5 ingredients, and bring to a boil mixing well and stirring constantly. Spoon over the steak.
Bake, covered, for 2 hours or until steak is tender. Remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese, and return to oven until the cheese has melted.
