To remove sticky stuff (gum, wax)--apply a piece of ice until gunk hardens, then gently scrape with a comb or butter knife. Dab on some clear dish soap to dislodge residue, then rinse with a clean, damp, cloth.

Red wine--Blot, don't rub, with a clean, damp cloth, then use a fresh cloth to apply white wine. Blot again. Still there? Sprinkle on baking soda, let sit for 20 minutes, and remove with another clean cloth.

Ink--Dip a clean toothbrush in a capful of rubbing alcohol; shake off excess and brush gently over the spot.

To remove underarm stains--
Mix Dawn dishwashing liquid, 3-4 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide, and 2 tablespoons of baking powder. Scrub the stain before washing the shirt.
