Cake:
2-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1-1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4-1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. shortening
3 eggs

Topping:
1/2 c. melted butter
1-1/2 c. coconut
1 c. brown sugar, packed
6 T. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9"x13" baking pan.

Cake:
In bowl, mix all ingredients until batter is smooth.
Pour into a greased 9"x13" baking pan.
Bake in 350 oven for 40-45 minutes.

Topping:
In bowl, mix butter, coconut, brown sugar and milk.

Spread topping on warm cake; place under oven broiler until topping turns nice and brown.
