Ingredients:  
Cut up about a pound of ham (leftovers are good) into bite-size pieces.
Lightly brown the ham in 1 Tbsp drippings or oil.
Blend in 2 Tbsp four, and set aside.

2 cups whole milk (or large can of evaporated milk) in large saucepan
Heat to boiling, then add ham and
6-8 medium red potatoes that are peeled and sliced rather thinly.
Heat again to boiling
Add 1 tsp salt and dash of pepper

Place the. potato-ham mixture in a greased 2 qt casserole.
Bake in a slow oven (325º). for 30-45 minutes, until potatoes are tender
