1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 and 1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º

Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly.
Blend four and salt, add to above in mixer bowl.
Mix in nuts

Roll the dough into little balls. (You might want to cool in fridge for 30-40 minutes first )

Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, until light brown.

While warm, room in confectioners sugar again.
Makes 4 dozen 1 inch cookies

This recipe goes under other names also. Instead of balls, you can shape into a crescent shape.
