6 tart apples. Peeled, sliced, and arranged in a baking dish.

Pour over apples:

¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp nutmeg
1 TBS lemon juice
¼ cup water

Mix and cover apples:
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ cup flour
¾ cup butter

Bake uncovered 400º for 30 minutes
