Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and quartered
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls (8 oz.)
⅛ tsp. ground cinnamon
½ c. butter
¾ c. white sugar
1 c. orange juice
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Take a quartered piece of apple and wrap it in one crescent roll. Place the wrapped apple slices seam side down in an 8x8 baking dish. Sprinkle the wrapped apples with cinnamon.

Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, and orange juice. Bring contents of the pan to a gentle boil. Once the sauce is boiling, remove it from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour the sauce over the apple wrapped rolls.

Bake the pan of apple dumplings for 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the apples are tender. (You can poke them with a fork to be sure.) Serve the apple dumplings with the sauce from the baking dish spooned over them.

Personal Notes:
This dish is so good there is very little you can do to improve it, except for adding a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream.
