MIX TOGETHER:
1 ½ C white flour
1 ½ C water
1 ½ C milk
1 large egg
1 ¾ T salt
4 ½ T sugar
Yellow food coloring to make batter look rich
Directions:

Mix well until smooth.
Add 1 T melted Crisco
Clean 5 lbs onions, quartered, dip into flour batter, shake excess. Let dry.
Roll in cracker crumbs and deep fry until golden.
