Tomato Pie Recipe

1 frozen deep dish pie shell
4 medium sized tomatoes, cut in 1/2" slices
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1-1/2 c. cheddar cheese, grated
1 c. mayonnaise

Preheat oven to 425.

In a 425 oven, baked pie shell for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and reduce temperature to 400.
Place sliced tomatoes in crust.
Top tomatoes with chopped onions.
In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and cheese; spread on top of onions, covering completely.
Bake in 400 oven for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 5-10 minutes before serving.
