Ingredients:  
1-1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
2 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except vanilla in top of double boiler. Beat with mixer until thoroughly mixed. Place over rapidly boiling water and beat constantly for 7 minutes or until it holds a peak. Remove, add vanilla. Beat until cool and thick to spread.
